Summary: Intensive visible wavelength photometric and polarimetric coverage of a major mass loss episode of the Be star Omega Orionis is reported. Particularly striking is the sharp onset of pronounced continua light changes. Such sharp photometric changes have never before been monitored in any Be star and thus shed new light on the morphologies of mass loss episodes in this and related stars. The broad-band polarimetry shows pronounced changes which have a somewhat different temporal development.
