Abstract: Transmitted and received signals from and at rotor-crafts are subject to intermodulations caused by the rotor blades which lead to significant signal distortion. We analyze the channel model underlying the communication systems that involve rotating blades. The systems are operated using slow frequency hopping (FH) with frequency modulation (FM). Of our particular concern is the very high frequency (VHF) band of 30-88 MHz.
