Description: Employing a semiological, cultural studies approach, this study identifies several factors key to vinyl record fans' relationships with the medium. Phenomenological interviews were conducted with ten participants, including record store employees, record collectors, and musicians who release music on the vinyl format. Ultimately, this study proposes that fans' reverence for vinyl allows them to transcend the chaos indicative of the postmodern era, suggesting the emergence of the post-postmodern era.
